Along with secured transporting Guardian Angel also offers secured holding. Secured holding provides a safe and secure environment for an adolescent when alternate placement is not yet available for the child. Secured holding is also helpful as a “time out” and is commonly used when home is not an option or when parents, facing an emergency, need extra time to secure adolescent placement. Secured holding is especially beneficial for students needing safe placement within a family environment.      Guardian Angel prides itself on providing a warm family based atmosphere for your child. Our main holding facility is located 50 miles north of Spokane, Washington. Nestled in the mountainous region of the Inland Northwest allows for many recreational opportunities including hiking, and biking, along with a ski resort just twenty minutes from our location. In order to meet the individual needs of our clients Guardian Angel can provide secured holding throughout the United States and offer service in most venues world wide.

For the welfare of the adolescent and to minimize potential flight risk and the need for runaway recovery parents often choose secured holding. We understand the importance for many clients to maintain family values and religious beliefs. Guardian Angel maintains a respectful approach to all.    Additional reasons for secured holding: A child in transition from one program to another may encounter admission delays and need temporary placement. Adolescents recovering from ailments and/or injury often need secure placement to recuperate. Guardian Angel provides scheduling and transportation to doctors appointments as well as physical therapy. Teens and their families coping with unplanned pregnancies face a myriad of sensitive obstacles. Guardian Angel provides confidential care in a safe and secure environment to ensure a healthy atmosphere throughout the duration of the adolescent’s pregnancy. We understand the importance of proper prenatal care, nutrition, and overall mental and physical health during this overwhelming time. We work along side the parents to ensure a successful transition during pre and post delivery. To ensure families are not left without options during scheduled and/or unforeseen closings, parents and programs refer to Guardian Angel for short-term care. The holidays are an especially sensitive and emotional time for families and their adolescent in question.
