Guardian Angel  provides secured transporting for minors who cannot or will not go to intervention programs unaided (crisis intervention).We understand that this transition is one of the most difficult and sensitive steps in the adolescent intervention process.     Guardian Angel is here for you in your time of need. We provide safe, secure, and professional intervention service for families, along with complete travel arrangements.

Getting a child prepared for a professional intervention is a critical transition. By conveying just the "basics" during the initial phase of the intervention (who the agents are, what is happening and why, where they are going, and appropriate and expected behavior) minimizes the possibility of adverse protest by the child. In this critical phase of youth services it is very important to keep the adolescent as calm as possible in order to prevent potential sensory overload.     Guardian Angel has strict transport procedures that are always followed and never compromised. Each adolescent intervention consists of at least one senior ranking field agent and one secondary agent. We guarantee, at all times, at least one same gender agent as the adolescent. Our field agents are trained and proficient in crisis prevention, crisis intervention, verbal de-escalation, flight risk, first aid, and chemical dependency. Field agents also complete mandatory professional intervention certifications C.P.I. (Crisis Prevention Institute) and federal background checks through N.C.I.C. (National Crime Information Center).

	Methods of Secured Transporting
As each child’s case is reviewed many factors are taken into consideration when constructing the professional intervention plan and secured transport itinerary. These include, but are not limited to: Verbal and/or physical confrontation, substance use/abuse, anxiety, mental health & behavioral or learning disorders, manipulation, and flight risk.     Several options for secured transporting are available based on safety, the child’s level of compliance, and time constraints. For our client’s convenience, cost effectiveness, and peace of mind our intervention agency provides skilled intake coordinators specializing in all aspects of travel arrangements.

Commercial air travel is the most commonly used and Cost efficient method of secured transportation

Private air charter is beneficial when a child is not suitable for commercial air travel. Anonymity, emergencies, time factors, and extreme combative behavior issues are the most common reasons to consider private air charter.   Secured transporting by vehicle is most often utilized by families coping with issues concerning confidentiality, aggressive behavior, excessive emotional instability, flight risk, and/or substance withdrawal.

Pre-Transport Information Place all pertinent documents, literature, and contracts in a secure location (preferably out of the house). Do not throw away information in your trash, dispose of it away from your home. Delete all pertinent phone & fax numbers from communication devises immediately after use. Your child can easily access numbers by pressing redial and/or *69. Secure or delete all pertinent email(s) and web addresses. Locate photo I.D. (when possible without alerting your child) and completely fill out all contracts (transport & program). Make sure signatures are notarized when required. Finalize all financial obligations. Please divulge all pertinent information on forms and contracts. This will help those working with your child to be adequately prepared and familiar with your child’s history and personality. Pack only pre-approved essentials and ship all other necessities (handling luggage takes focus away from your child and is usually not allowed). Refill all prescriptions your child will need and hand them directly over, in correct prescription bottles, to the agents. Do not deviate from your regular day-to-day habits. Doing so may alert your child to suspicious behavior causing them to become a flight risk. *Many adolescents have reported being suspicious of their parents in the days leading up to the intervention. Most often the intervention agency is delayed because of a change in a parent’s attitude or demeanor that causes their child to act on impulse and runaway.
